A sirloin tip is a great way to save money when you’re shopping on a budget. Beef can be expensive, but a sirloin tip will provide you with several meals. You can often find sirloin tips on sale, and if you do the math, you’ll find that you can easily save a good deal of money over buying individual pieces of beef.

Cooking a sirloin tip is not difficult. You need aluminum foil, a baking pan that is deep and large enough to hold the sirloin tip, water, and spices. That’s it!

First, cut small holes all over the sirloin tip. Stuff the holes with pieces of garlic. Don’t worry – the garlic will not be too strong. This is a lot of meat after all. Now, rub it with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Feel free to add your own spices if you want.

Place the sirloin tip in the pan and add lots of water. Place an aluminum foil tent over the sirloin tip and pop it into a 350℉ oven. Bake it for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, depending on how big the roast is and how well done you want it. Make sure that you check the water level every so often – you don’t want it to go dry. The water will make a delicious broth that you can use a sauce.

This will make your sirloin tip cook where the outer pieces will be well done, and it will be medium well as you get closer to the center, with medium rare right at the center. This gives everyone a variety of meat to choose from. It’s also great because you can then use the meat in various recipes, and can choose which beef you want.

For example, the well done parts you can use in open face sandwiches. Cover with the broth and serve with peas and mashed potatoes for a simple, quick, and delicious meal that will please just about everybody and won’t cost much.

You can use pieces of the sirloin tip to make wonderful soups. Try making a beef vegetable soup or stew using the sirloin tip. Even canned vegetables will taste delicious in a beef vegetable soup!

Try making pasta dishes. You can cook the pasta in the broth for a blast of extra flavor.

You can also freeze part of the sirloin tip to use later. This cut of beef freezes very well, and you will easily be able to thaw it out and use it in a recipe later on. It’s a great way to make sure you’ll have something when you find out there are unexpected guests coming, or if someone isn’t feeling well and you just want to make some soup without having to go buy anything for it.

With unlimited possiblities, a sirloin tip is a wonderful choice for anyone looking to make every dollar go as far as possible while still providing their family with a delicious and healthy meal.
