  1. We are all on a tighter budget these days, but that doesn’t mean our tastes for cool restaurants and food have waned. Nashville, Tennessee is home to not only some of the swankiest restaurants in the south but also some interesting gems that won’t break make your wallet sad. For a meal in the city that will leave you enough cash to catch a movie afterward, try one of these affordable but fantastic eateries.

    Tin Angel

The humble edifice of the Tin Angel restaurant on West End Avenue will remind you of a hometown café from simpler times. Once you step inside, however, you’re welcomed with a warm and hip atmosphere that reminds you that you’re in Nashville’s trendier corner. At Tin Angel you can sit around a charming fireplace or at one of the café style tables to enjoy a generous portion of food for a budget-friendly price.

    Café Coco

For coffee and pastry or late night snacks, Café Coco in Nashville’s young and trendy West End is a must-visit. The crowd here is eclectic, the menu is surprisingly diverse and delicious and there always seems to be something happening. If you need to have a working lunch on a budget, Café Coco also has Wi-Fi internet to go with filling and reasonably priced meals.

    Rosepepper Cantina

A lively and colorful atmosphere makes the Rosepepper Cantina the best affordable Mexican restaurant in Nashville. Like most of these hidden gems, the building itself isn’t much to look at, but inside Rosepepper Cantina you’ll be pleasantly surprised by gracious staff members, a huge menu chock full of fresh ingredients and a cool bar meets restaurant environment. Not the best for a working lunch or quiet interlude, but the most fun you can have for your dollar.
