Holiday Gifts That Save Lives- (9.) Help the Homeless & (10.) Be creative

  1. Help the Homeless (pass out food, care kits, give a buck)

Helping the homeless is one of the easiest things to do. They have so little, and need so much.

Therefore, you should consider passing out food at food banks, or on the city streets where the homeless usually congregate.

Leftovers from your holiday meals will be good enough.

Also, consider care kits. The dollar store has great care kit goodies. Things like Beef Jerky treats, water bottles, bags of chips, deodorant, soap, shower gel, and wash clothes.

And last but not least, you should consider giving at least $1 to every homeless person you encounter this holiday season.

    Be Creative

Be creative this holiday season. If you have a loved one who is under the weather, or an elderly family member; contact them this holiday season and offer to help them do something around the house. Like help them clean up, or change out the light bulbs that died months ago.

Fix something broken around their home, or simply offer to cut wood for the fireplace. Whatever you do will be appreciated.

Cook dinner for some of your family and friends. There is nothing more special than giving of yourself to show someone else that you care, and you will be there no matter what happens.

In summary, try and image your situation is the same as the people you encounter, and you will know exactly what need to fulfill.

When you seek people in need, you will find them in abundance.

Let’s not forget our friends and family members first.

Then, reach out to seek the less fortunate on the streets and in shelters.

And, if you have more giving left, remember those who are barely making it.

Give them a boost of life this holiday season as well.
