  1. The Walt Disney Travel Company recently announced the addition of new transportation routes to four popular destinations in Central Florida. The service, which began on June 8, 2010, will provide one-way and round-trip service to the Tampa area, Daytona, Vero Beach and Canaveral. The service is available to guests staying at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel or off-property hotel booked as part of a Disney package, and alleviates the need to rent a car in order to see more of Central Florida.

Travel to Tampa includes the beach areas of Clearwater and St. Petersburg, with package add-ons at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort, Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort and Tradewinds Island Grand Beach Resort. Service at Tampa International Airport (TPA) will be available with 2011 packages.

Transportation to Daytona covers the Daytona International Speedway and Daytona Beach, as well as package add-ons at the Bahama House. Vero Beach transport covers Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and the surrounding area, while Canaveral covers Port Canaveral, Cape Canaveral and the Beach area.

Transportation will be provided by Star Transportation via their fleet of town cars, limousines (excluding the executive limousine), vans and SUVs. The booking procedures and terms and conditions are currently based on existing Star Transportation policies, but may change as Disney incorporates the service into their 2011 package options.

This service was added based on guest feedback, so if there’s something you’d like to see added to Disney vacation packages, let them know! Your wish just might come true!
