I am assuming that you are hired as a contractor rather than as an employee.  As an employee, you should be eligible for workman’s compensation if you are injured on the job.  This compensation should include rehab for your painful shoulder and limited range of motion.  It is of course not in the hospital’s best interest to offer you workman’s comp because it would cost them an increase in premium. short term disability
