Yes, the iPad is a very good way to watch TV. Check your TV provider’s website for apps that will let you view content on your iPad. I use the Xfinity TV Go app and I know others like DirectTV and Dish also have apps you can use. Also check the network sites. HBO has an app as do the networks. I particularly like the CBS app. Then there are services that require a monthly fee like Netflix and Hulu. Search the App Store for TV and you will find an abundance of ways to watch.
