Can a headache really be a symptom of a Brain Tumor?

I rarely see a brain tumor patient whose only symptom was a headache. Most of the time, the person also has something else, such as nausea, dizziness, or vomiting. Sometimes the signs are even more obvious, such as seizures, difficulty speaking, weakness in the limbs, or problems with peripheral vision.

Headache is a common initial symptom of brain tumor, however most headaches are unrelated. Usually, a headache that is associated with tumor will not respond to regular pain treatment. Other symptoms may include: seizure, speech changes, hearing problems or loss, changes in vision, balance issues, changes to your walking or stride, numbness or tingling, memory issue, personality change, concentration difficulties, or weakness. These symptoms can be brought on by multiple conditions so it is very advisable to check with a physician before making any assumptions.
