Can you wear red and pink together for Valentines Day?
Red and pink once famously clashed (like black and navy blue), but not anymore. Thanks to the color blocking trend that we have seen hit the red carpet in 2011, it is now appropriate for even everyday people to wear pink and red together.
It actually is a sweet pairing. All of the three instances of red and pink being paired together (on the right) can be easily translated to the street.
I recommend that you stick to one of these three pairings when matching reds with pinks: 1. hot pink and bright red (seen on Sarah Jessica Parker, Emma Stone, and Zoe Saldana); 2. pale rose pink/bubblegum pink and a wine-colored burgundy; 3. a coral pink and deep red.
