Does Buckeye tea help with arthritis?

0
Betty Brenner

Many years ago it was believed that to hold a buckeye in your pocket would cure arthritis. This was an “Old wives tale” however it has been proven that buckeye tea has anti-inflammatory properties and it is the fluid retention in joints and knuckles that causes much of arthritis pain. Therefore it can prove beneficial. Drink away.

There is no medical evidence that buckeye tea reduces inflammation. In fact there is very little anecdotal evidence to support the use of buckeye tea to treat inflammation. Also, fluid retention does not play a role in arthritis pain. The natural loss of the bodies liquid lubrication in joints that plays a role in arthritis pain. There are many foods that can help with inflammation. A good place to begin your search is with Dr Weils anti-inflammatory food pyramid.  https://www.drweil.com/diet-nutrition/anti-inflammatory-diet-pyramid/dr-weils-anti-inflammatory-food-pyramid-2-2/
