You should consider hiring a real estate agent when buying a new home. Real estate agents are actually a very professional and important persons when buying or selling a new home. They have a great market knowledge. They will provide you a very valuable information on home and help you find the home that meets your requirements and budget. They will also help you in negotiations.

Real estate agents are there to make money so if you have to time to look for yourself and buy from a private individual it would save you money in the long run.

Honestly, if I were you and had enough time on it, I would not hire an agent. When I was looking for an apartment in Paris, I just used the service from https://www.glamourapartments.com/real-estate/ and did everything on my own. So, it’s up to you. You can save some nice money on an agent…

Absolutely… the agents commission is paid by the seller and won’t increase what you pay. Also agents are familiar with contracts and negotiations. The agent also usually has access to MLS or multiple listing system that will provide information on all new homes currently on the market. The builders salesman works for the builder but the agent has a legal duty to work on your behalf only.
