What are the similarities of public school and home school?

0

Home schools and public schools are both environments are where learning should be taking place.  Both environments may use textbooks.  In recent years, public schools have begun to serve breakfast, lunch and even dinner in some areas.  Both also have designated time for outside play. There is more, however, different about these two environments than there similarities.

Children that go to public schools have to go through additional housekeeping issues like taking attendance and taking lunch count.  Even the collection of homework may take some time that would be used for learning in a homeschool environment.

Homeschools and public schools probably both have field trips planned but the homeschool family may be able to take more since there are fewer children to have to account for and the homeschool family can do some of those trips on an impromptu basis.

In summary, homeschools and public schools have several differences but there are some interesting similarities.
