The answer is 4 because two to the fourth power is 16 and when you have an power of 1/2 you cut the factor in half.

the answer is 8 because w to the power of 4 is 16

but the next operator in precedence is ^ because of which 16 is raised to the power 1 and divided by 2, thus giving 8

The solution is as follows,

(2^4)^1/2 = (16)^1/2.

Now (16)^1/2 means square root of 16.

Hence answer is 4.

first you have to solve 2 to the power 4

 2*2*2*2=16

after solving we get 16 to the power 1/2

which means square root of 16 so the answer will be 4

2 Multiplied to the power of 4 is 16; 2*2*2*2 = 16, and 16 divided by 1/2 means 16 times 2 over 1 which is 32. The answer is 32.
