The bandwagon effect is a psychological phenomenon in which regardless of their own beliefs, people do something when they saw other people doing it. This effect can be seen in varies aspects of life. It is commonly seen in politics and consumer behavior. The bandwagon effect can also affect sport teams when fans start to or change their allegiance and support a team that starts winning.
