What weighs more hot or cold water?

0

Cold water weighs more than hot water. Water molecules expands as it gets warmer and as a result it becomes less dense. Water is most dense at temperatures near freezing.

Hot water is heavier than cold water

For equal masses of water, weight remains constant. However, cold water is denser than hot water.

Both cold and hot water weigh the same amount. Although, their densities differ, with hot water being less dense than colder water. This is due to the amount of energy in the molecules causing the atoms to expand and scatter in hotter water. In colder water the molecules contract and, therefore, become more dense. This is why ice is hard, and vapor isn’t.

From 0°C to 4°C its weight will increase due to increase in density after further heating its density will start decreasing hence weight also decreases. This happens due to exceptional phase diagram of water.
