When will the construction on I-405 through the Sepulveda Pass in Los Angeles be completed?
They keep pushing back the date, which is understandable because it’s a huge job. The last phase of tearing down the old Mulholland Bridge should take place at the end of this month (September 29 &30, Saturday and Sunday) and the freeway should be open by 5 AM Monday morning. However, construction of the new bridge could take up to a year, and we can expect more freeway closures on weekends during that time.
The best estimate for when the project will be completed is October 1, 2013, though they could finish months before that.
