The Venom GT is the worlds fastest car with a speed of 270mph (435km/hr). However the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport car is also close with a speed of 268mph and has entered the Guinness Book of World Records.

Fastest production car is still Bugatti Veyron SS, because The Venom GT didn’t do 2 runs required for offical world record, and The Venom is just tunned lotus elise(and it is also registered as one) so it doesn’t count as production vehicle but rather a tunned car.
