The actual answer to this will need digging through evolution and how living things evolved. But since the question is in entertainment section, I would say chicken… since eggs are laid, not born…

People have been trying to answer this question forever for there is really no answer to this question. You had to be there when the egg or chicken was created. Unless you were there, you would have no idea what happened.
