NEVER EVER EVER let debt collectors/bailiffs into your home. If anything happened and you could not pay – had an accident and was in hospital, had another emergency etc they would have the right to walk into your home. They should be able to set up a payment plan over the phone or in writing. You really must think carefully about letting these people into your home. They are trying it on. If you are on benefits, £10 a week can be a lot. Set it at £5 a week max. There is a really good website – National Debtline which is full of useful information and you can ring or email them and they will give you all the answers you need and give you proper advice on how to handle this – so you are not pressurised by this company coz it seems to me that they are being rather naughty in wanting access to your property.
