A PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT SEEMS UNNECESSARILY BUREAUCRATIC. WE WOULD PREFER A MORE FLEXIBLE, CONSORTIUM APPROACH, CAN WE STILL APPLY?
You do not need to have a partnership agreement in place when you apply but, if you are successful, you will need to have one in place before you can receive any grant payments. We recommend you develop a written agreement with your partner(s) as soon as you can. A partnership agreement ensures everyone involved in delivering the project understands what is expected of them and is committed to doing what they are supposed to. We also recognise that those involved in setting up a project may move on, leaving participants uncertain of what is required. A documented agreement can help clarify any uncertainties. An application to the Research programme has to be led by one organisation, which must be a voluntary sector organisation. The applicant will be responsible for the grant and for delivering the project successfully. We will not give money to individual partners.
