Abnormal nuchal translucency?

0

I just wanted to let you know I’m in the exact same situation at the moment and I feel for you. I am 27 yrs and had a scan yesterday at 10w 3d and the nuchal translucency was 4.7mm. I too am very stressed but have to remember that that measurement alone is not conclusive, it’s a screening test. Although I’m finding it really hard to remind myself of that every single moment! I had a blood test today, testing hCG and PAP (plasma protein – can’t remember exactly), so with these results and another scan next week I will then get a risk factor. Not sure if you’ve had this blood test?? Also I am booked to have a CSV (where a sample is taken from the placenta guided by USS) at 12 weeks. This can be done at 12 weeks, rather than waiting for an amniocentesis and has a 1% risk of miscarriage, compared to the 0.5-1% risk of an amniocentesis. The more I read the more confused I get! My thoughts are with you!
