You should start to see a bit of an improvement in a couple of weeks. I was prescribed it for ROSACEA – a different skin condition, but the treatment for it is exactly the same as for acne. I had a slight improvement after a week, and my skin was clear after 3 months. I had 5 courses of Roaccutane over 8 years, and the ONLY side effect I ever had was a very dry mouth and eyes. I just drank a lot of water every day (about 6 pints) and put Vaseline on my lips and eyelids when I went to bed.
