After regrouting my tub/shower surround, how long must I wait before I can use it?
Depending on humidity, usually grout will cure quickly and the tub/shower surround can be used in 2 hours. Before your first shower or bath after the re-grout process, it is important to clean the tile with a dry clean terry cloth towel. Some residual grout haze (fine powder) may still be on the tile face. It should come off with little to no effort. Grout is a form of cement, so after the initial cure (1 hour), getting the grout wet helps to cure the grout and make it harder. If silicone sealant (caulking) is used a minimum of 12 hours is needed.
