I am allergic to benzoyl peroxide and the same exact thing happened to my face the last time I tried using it, like you it did clear my skin but made it get red with lots of little bumps and really swollen and itchy. So it sounds like an allergic reaction to benzoyl peroxide to me, I don’t think proactiv could do that.
