I can’t help you with the papers question but it is okay if your puppy isn’t vaccinated before 8 weeks. However, until you get him in to have his first distemper shot you need to keep him away from other dogs and wildlife. Parvo is a VERY contagious and deadly thing to contract (even more so for distemper). For example, if you live in a rural area, a coyote that has parvo might walk through your yard during the night, the next day your sweet little pup walks over the path that the coyote took and catches parvo. A lot of puppies from breeders that I see have been given their first distemper shot at four weeks, in this case the pup needs two boosters right away instead of just one. With your puppy you’ll just have to watch him until he has his shots and keep on the ball with your boosters! (rabies isn’t given until twelve weeks, so he can have that at the same time as his 2nd distemper shot, then they both need boosted again a year later) p.s.
