Am I eligible for an Americorps award through Oakland Teaching Fellows?
68 Fellows in Oakland will be eligible to apply to enroll in the Teaching Fellows—AmeriCorps Education Award Program. AmeriCorps members who complete one year of service in the classroom may receive an education award of approximately $5,350 that can be applied to qualified educational expenses and student loans. This award is contingent upon availability of funds and will not be determined until September 2011.
