Angelfish with Goldfish?

I have had two young angelfish in a 20-gallon tank (with plans to upgrade soon to a 29-gal.) for about a month now. They’ve grown quite a bit. Day before yesterday, the apparent female (belly swollen) began to pick on the apparent male. I found him sort of cowering in the corner, fins torn in several places, so I reluctantly moved him to my 50-gallon tank which houses two goldfish and three Rainbowfish and three Siamese Algae Eaters (I know, but it has worked beautifully for two years now). I am not interested at all in breeding the angels, but most of all I don’t plan to subject the more docile male to this harassment from the female again. After almost two days, he seems quite happy in my 50-gal.
