Anyone know why my 5 Kia Sorento hesitates sometimes while shifting?
I have a ’05 Kia Sorento which I love, but ever since it was new it quite often hesitates and even jerks a little during shifting in between 1st and 2nd gears and 2nd and 3rd gears. Does not do it all the time but does it often. I have had it in the dealership a half dozen times for this and they notice it when they drive it but are stumped and say that nothing shows up on the computer codes. Anyone else ever see this and/or know what the cause is? Friends have told me it could be anything from fuel injection mapping issues to tranny issues. A: You may need to add some transmission fluid, trans could be going bad. The gears are done by the transmission, any little problem that you experience is definitely the transmission. I know, because I deal with problems like that all the time. But it could also be your motor mounts too.
