There is little argument to be made against the fact that the Freemasons are built on the past and their whole society is based on keeping the past alive. It would seem that there are very few modern day concepts or teachings that are incorporated into what the Freemasons stand for as of today. It is known that this group keeps the past alive by allegory. All allegory is portraying a story within a story. It doesn´t mean that the story has to be true. The freemasons are reported to act out various stories to make a point. It doesn´t mean that what they are acting out is an actual occurrence. In other words they are making an example of a point they want to get across, sort of like the moral of a story (but the story is a legend).
