Are all AED models recommended for use on adults, children, and/or infants?

0

No. Not all AEDs can be used on adults, children and/or infants. Most AED units can easily be adapted to be used on adults or children by changing the AED pads connected to the AED. Some AED units can be used on both adults and children without even changing the AED pads. An AED intended for use on infants requires infant specific AED pads or adaptation. When purchasing an AED, you should consider the possible victims on whom the unit may be used. AED units deliver varying shock voltages to adults, children, and infants. When purchasing an AED for children and infants, read the description and check under the additional accessories section to make sure this AED unit offers special pads for children and/or infants. Some AED units do not offer special pads for children and/or infants.
