ARE AMERICAN CONSERVATIVES HYPOCRITICAL IN THEIR CRITICISMS OF WORLD ORGANIZATIONS?
[+] ballot by cranky created Tue May 10, 05 American conservatives constantly condemn the United Nations, claiming that it’s goal is to pass laws and make rulings that will supercede American law. They claim this is an unacceptable violation of US sovereignty. On the other hand, the World Trade Organization (WTO), an organization founded on principles put forth by American conservatives, presently does put forth rulings and regulations which supercede American law. If the WTO rules against the US, the US must comply and the US can not have regulations in force which violate WTO rules. Is this hypocritical?
