Per section 2.6 of the Design Guidelines, “Attic ventilators requiring penetration of the roof shall be as small in size and height as functionally possible. They shall be located on the least visible side of the roof as viewed from the front of the house.” In addition, the fan should be a style and color that is unobtrusive. Within these guidelines, ARC approval is not necessary.
