Are automatic watches really better than quartz watches?

It depends; people that choose a quartz watch (one powered by a battery) tend to have different priorities than those who choose a mechanical watch (one powered by the movement of your wrist or winding of gears). A quartz movement is more accurate and even less expensive than a mechanical movement.
