Are bad teeth genetically inherent or simply due to bad habits?
Both! Having bad teeth can result from a variety of different things. Some of those things include genetics. Look at your parents, their parents, others whom share your same race or ethnic background and you can begin to see how your teeth may possibly become. However, having bad teeth is as much of a result of drinking too many soft drinks, eating too much candy, not brushing, not flossing, dipping, smoking, and so on. Teeth are supposed to be strong and healthy, but unfortunately for some, they are weak and fragile. One of the more common problems comes from not keeping them clean which can lead to bacteria build up that causes cavities. If those cavities go too long without being treated, they begin to break down the tooth’s structure and the tooth is gone. It is necessary that everyone brush their teeth at least three times a day and gargle twice. You should never forget to floss, even if you already have bad teeth.
