No. Bank of England notes are only legal tender in England and Wales. See link from the Royal Mint for confirmation and further info: http://www.royalmint.com/corporate/polic… Likewise, Northern Irish and Scottish banknotes are not legal tender in England and Wales. Northern Ireland and Scotland will however accept Bank of England notes without question.
