Are Blogger Influential?
Even when information flows – it is important where it flows. Bloggers, the real strong-point of the internet revolution, are not always heard. Sometimes (especially when they are “intruding” with difficult subjects) they are pushed away to the bottom of the ratings list of Tehnorati – the blog search engine. Thus, these bloggers are no more influential than those small news items of “work camps in Germany” which were published in small print on page 38 of the Washington in 1940. And even so, there will still be those who say that “bloggers are not journalists” and therefore are not credible. Even when information flows and arrives and is read – it is not always easy to take action, and is usually much easier to wait for a fundraiser and make a small donation. So, despite the internet and progress – it would have happened today too. The world would have stood by in silence.
