Are California Paid Family Leave (PFL) benefits taxable?

0

California Paid Family Leave benefits are subject to withholding of Federal income taxes. They will not be subject to withholding of FICA taxes (Social Security and Medicare) or California state income taxes. If Sedgwick CMS pays your Paid Family Leave benefits, a form W-2 will be issued for these payments and will be sent by January 31st following the end of the taxable year.
