Are California Rolls considered a healthy meal?

If you want to be extra healthy, order what the Japanese do – sashimi or chirashi, both of which are little more than raw fish. There’s nothing wrong with California rolls, though. They’re not very authentic, but cucumbers are certainly good for you. Avocado is very high in fat, but there’s not much of that in there and it’s healthy fat. Crab is fine (assuming you actually get crab in there – a lot of times it’s imitation). You don’t really NEED all that starch and the carbs from the rice, but they’re clean foods. You could do MUCH worse than California rolls just by eating, oh, almost anywhere else. My preference is for tuna, especially toro, and salmon. Boring, I know, but you like what you like.
