Yes, canceled checks are the most desired method of documentation. The majority of tank owners are able to provide copies of canceled checks to demonstrate payments made for corrective actions. However, as a last resort, affidavits are available when canceled checks are not readily obtainable. This option, however, is subject to the Directors approval.
