Are cat water fountains worth the money?

I’ve found mine to be very useful, particularly if I’m away for the weekend. It holds a lot more water than a bowl, and because of the filter in it, means that the water doesn’t need changing so frequently. (You don’t need to worry if the water gets a bit old and stale – cats will often drink very dodgy-looking water. My two preferred the water at the base of the Christmas tree for the entire time we had the tree! They also happily drink out of puddles, water troughs with mosquito larvae in them, and even plant pot saucers – drives me nuts!) I actually took the pump out as it used a lot of electricity I felt, and the cats didn’t need it. The cats are happy, and it’s also good because the cats can’t tip it over at all – they could tip a small bowl if they fell in it (this has happened, while I was in the house thankfully). Obviously up to you, but I use mine all the time for my two.
