Are Cavoodles good for people with allergies?
This is something that i am asked often and it is something that is hard to answer. People that are allergic to dogs may not just be allergic to dog hair, but may be allergic to animal dander, the grass seeds that they can carry in their coats or their saliva. There is no way of knowing if this cross will be ok for someone with allergies if the allergy source has not been identified with testing. I always suggest that people with mild allergies start by spending some time around a pure bred poodle. If they are fine with this then maybe try to spend some time around someone with a first generation cross and see how they react then. If on the other hand, the allergy is a serious one, then i would think very carefully before owning any animal and seek a proffesional medical specialist’s advice before comming into contact with any dog, cat or animal.
