Nobody needs a Mercedes, though many people want a Mercedes. And to get a Mercedes, you'll need a certain level of disposable income and penchant for luxury. Given that Daimler-Chrysler targets their Mercedes brand automobiles for a specific group of consumers, mainly those with the above mentioned characteristics, I would say that the majority of college students do not fall within the requirements, as most are nowhere near the necessary income levels to afford such a car. Interesting though, I'd like to hear your conclusion. If you find a college with enough students having legitimate means to be marketed a Mercedes-Benz, I would love to know which school. And no, rich parents do not count in my book.
