Are computer games responsible for school violence?

First of all Jacobs Gurl, that was unnecessary. It is a valid question. Ok. I think you have a point. Parents should be held responsible for what their children play. Computer games have become handy childminding for a lot of parents, and many have no idea what their kids are playing, let alone the rating. I think the concept that you can shoot a hundred people for points, yet not ever die, does have some effect on children’s mentality. It may be hard for some to distinguish the difference between fact and fiction. I have met some children in my career who are determined that you can be shot in the head or hit by a rocket and not die. However I agree with comments above. The nightly news shows a lot of violence, as do a lot of movies supposedly aimed at children. Primarily though I feel it comes directly from the home (or in some cases school). It is how parents deal with their own problems that sets the standard. Some are overly violent verbally making threats, some are overly violent
