Currently there is one successful queen conch commercial fishery. It is located in the Turks and Caicos. It has been operational since 1984. Research is currently being conducted in Mexico, Guadalupe, and the United States to determine the best methods of raising queen conch in captivity for restocking purposes and commercial purposes.
