Are Daddy long legged spiders poisonous to humans?

0

All spiders are venomous except the primative suborder Mesothelae and the Hackled orb weaver. I prefer calling the spider the Celler Spider, because daddy long legs is used to describe 3 different critters, the crane fly, the harvestman (an arachnid but not a spider) and the cellar spider, and that can get confusing. The cellar spider has the myth of being the most venomous spider but not having fangs that can penetrate human skin. In truth, they can certainly bite you but all you would get is a short burning sensation. They proved it on mythbusters episode 13. The origin of this myth is probably that the cellar spider likes to invade other spiders web, kill them, eat them, and take their web. Watching this spider kill and eat a black widow probably lead others to believe it had a more powerful venom, and since no one was dying from bites of this critter, people thought that it can’t bite humans. Neither of the other critters that goes by “daddy long legs”, the harvestman or the crane
