Are disposable or cloth nappies better?
Disposables vs. laundry service: Comparison of costs of laundry service cloth and disposable nappies based on consumer habits and practices show more cloth nappies are used per week on average than disposable (68 vs. 38); based on this analysis, disposables are at parity or cost less than laundry service nappies. Pampers research studied the nappy habits of 1,362 mothers in a national survey of mothers with babies age 3 and under. Over 25,000 nappy changes were recorded in this survey. This study revealed that it is common practice to double or triple nappy when using cloth nappies in order to get the needed absorbency.
