Are dry/wet food combinations for a cat diet a good idea?

I wouldn’t mix them together but you can certainly offer both. Getting dry food wet may activate the bacteria, so unless every bit is eaten right away, you would need to throw it out. You can offer some canned food on the side instead. But if you prefer the mixing, then just toss the leftovers. If the bulk of kitty’s diet is dry, then the Sheba food will be fine to supplement that. This food is not properly balanced – as you noted it only has 4 ingredients – so it would not be appropriate food if that’s all a cat was eating. But it’s healthy enough and although pricy would be a good addition to kitty’s diet. (You should see fine print on the package that it’s for supplemental feeding only). Nutro isn’t great food but I guess it’s a step above most grocery store stuff. But your cat would do better with more canned/wet and less dry, FYI.
