Are gas prices the reason our country is in a recession?

Yes, fuel prices affect the price of most everything which depends on fuel to move it to the consumers. Everything (almost) moves by truck, adding fuel cost to the goods. Fuel costs cut down my driving time by at least 75%. This is for driving to and from places I don’t just have to go, or waiting to accumulate several items to be bought, so I shop less often, etc. President “Nero” just keeps “fiddling while Rome (the US) burns”. Or so it seems. Good luck.
