Are gouldian finch hard to breed?
They aren’t easy to breed. As to whether they are hard, kind of depends on the pair you have. Gouldians that have been raised by their parents are much better parent birds themselves than those that have been incubated and hand raised by people. They tend to mate for life but are a little more forgiving in a domestic setting than the wild. They need a very exacting diet whether they breed or not. They are not a beginner breeding finch.
