This is a concern many teachers bring up when first learning that they are going to get handhelds in their classroom. Other concerns are breakage, loss, battery, games, and of course what to do with them. Now, it would definitely depend on what kind of lesson you were doing with handhelds. Anything where the desired result involves identical outcomes (for example, Copy these vocabulary words from the board.) is not such a great idea. Also, beaming answers is not a particularly effective way to cheat on a test. Sometimes the beam goes to someone elses handheld.
