Are High School Relationships overrated?

How important a relationship is, is different for each person and where they are in their lives. Even in high school there is a wide discrepancy ranging from those who could care less about relationships to those who really need to be in a relationship. For instance, some people have a bad family life and so for them there is a need for intimacy and a strong need for a relationship to make up for that. For others, their focus is on sports and they have no time or place for a relationship. Some people are just starting to explore relationships in general and are better at dating around while others have been in relationships for awhile already and are more interested in being with someone long term. It all depends upon what is right for those individuals and there is no real norm or right or wrong.
